FAMESTM  | Finance, Arts and STEM:  Dr. Supriya Banerjee, a member of the FAMESTM Board of Directors, met with Congresswoman Donna Edwards at her 7th Annual College and Career Fair at Annapolis High School.  About 1500 high school and middle schools students and their parents attended the fair.  More than 100 organizations from industry, government, universities, and non-profits were represented.  The agenda included  the college admission process, financial aid, and other resources available for paying college expenses, admission to service academies, and STEM careers, to name a few.

Dr. Banerjee talked to the students about Finance, Arts and STEM careers.  The addition of finance to the STEM career brought a new perspective to the students.  They were pleasantly surprised to know that in addition to banking or a career on Wall Street, a financial analyst can work in the aerospace industry, for example, by analyzing real costs associated to the outer space missions.  FAMES participation in the career fair was supported by Capital One Bank, McLean Branch.  The Bank provided school supplies for the students.  Capital One is committed to middle school education.
