Avik B. Ganguly, Founder and CEO

 

Avik B. Ganguly is an entrepreneur with a passion for management, youth education, and sports. He established the non-profit FAMES® in 2006 while he was a high school student at Woodberry Forest School in Virginia (www.famesusa.org/history). As the CEO of FAMES, Mr. Ganguly is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of FAMES, including program management, volunteer coordination, partner coordination, financial management, management best practices review and implementation, strategic growth and fundraising planning. He develops the Finance Education program for FAMES. In addition, Mr. Ganguly is also the founder of The ABG Group International, which provides strategic advice to companies and real estate investors.

Mr. Ganguly attended Syracuse University for two years and then transferred to the University of Virginia, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with concentrations in finance and management and a track in real estate from the McIntire School of Commerce. He is a certified trainer for the Design and Technology in School’s Program, Pro/ENGINEER Schools Edition, which is Parametric Technology Corporation’s worldwide education initiative to promote the next generation of engineers. As a volunteer, Mr. Ganguly worked with McLean Youth Football as an assistant coach to elementary and middle school students. In his spare time, he enjoys basketball and chess.
